Meet the Owners

Meet a few of the co-owners who share the vision of providing quality butchering services to the great state of North Dakota.

Donnie, Trish, Harley & Taylor Feiring

Donnie and Trisha Feiring, along with their daughters Harley and Taylor own and operate Feiring’s Grassfed Beef at Beach, ND.  Donnie started his purebred Angus herd in 1983 with his first 4-H heifer.  The Feiring’s continue to raise forage developed Angus seedstock and in 2015 started direct marketing beef off their ranch.  They felt a need to utilize their grass based genetics to produce and market a consistent, nutrient dense protein source not only for their family, but also for their community.  Their daughters also have pastured laying hens and direct market their eggs off the ranch.

Ben & Ashley Murphy

Ben is a 4th generation rancher from the Killdeer Mountains. He met his wife Ashley at the University of Wyoming and 15 years later they got married. Ashley has two sons, Wyatt and Weston Bohner that live with them on the family ranch. Ben is a University of North Dakota (2002, 2005) graduate and Ashley graduated from Western Illinois (2002). Upon Ben’s retirement from the Navy in 2013, they moved back to the ranch and have been running the ranch.

Dunn Burgers was formed in November of 2019 between the Dvorak and Murphy families and has seen steady growth in sales since its inception. Dunn Burgers is centrally located between the two family ranches in Killdeer and regularly provides beef to North Dakota and Colorado.

Maddock Ranch

We believe God created the world, and in doing so made us stewards of his creation. We’ve made it our mission to take what the Lord has given us and continually improve ecological health and profitability using holistic management.

Maddock Ranch is a fourth-generation cattle ranch located in the prairie-pothole region of north central North Dakota. Our passion for regenerative agriculture inspires our mission to work with nature utilizing a whole systems approach to soil health through capturing carbon to feed plant and soil biology.

Our pasture system includes a combination of native prairie and improved pastures that are reclaimed farmland.  Through the use of intensive grazing, water management, and strategic planning we are taking these degraded and unproductive soils and making them a productive, polycultural grazing system once again.

Maddock Ranch is also a founding member of BeefCares. BeefCares is a third-party verification program that evaluates stewardship, management, and legacy to help ranches create sustainability through commitment to natural resources, animals, and people. We believe that sustainability is about leaving a legacy for future generations and our commitment to the BeefCares program helps guide us as we become more sustainable for our families and our customers.
